Alumni and Friends of UMass Men’s Swimming-
This year at the Alumni Weekend, I volunteered to spearhead a fundraising drive to buy new Arena suits for the team. We need to raise $5,000 to pay for them (25 suits at $200 each). For a group as strong as we are, it should not be an issue to raise that amount. Fifty people need to donate $100 and we will meet our goal. The program is under enormous pressure every year due to budget cuts within the athletic department and if we do not raise this money, the team will have to fight for another A-10 Championship in old suits. Please use this opportunity to fulfill your pledge from alumni weekend, make an additional donation or donate for the first time.
Since I sent out a Facebook message just after Christmas, we have received several donations (thank you to those who have already donated) but not nearly enough to get all the suits. This weekend is the team’s last home meet of the season and that means that A-10s is just around the corner. To get the team in new suits for Championships, we must act now. I will be in Amherst this weekend for the meet and I will call as many of you as possible until we get $5,000 of donations for the suit fund. One alumnus has agreed to match every donation between now and the end of the meet on Saturday dollar for dollar up to $1,000 donated. In addition, each person who donates $50 or more to the suit fund from now until the end of the month will be entered into a raffle for a championship quality bocce set. To donate, please follow the instructions below:

-Please send Russ and/or myself a quick email once you complete your donation, so we can make sure everything is properly tracked.
