We made it!!

Well, the internet was spotty everywhere west of Chicago….plus a random dog ate my entire computer…just after Jad peed on it…and that’s why I didn’t write any updates for the last half of the trip. Definitely not too lazy.

Anyway, after Chicago we made it to Denver. The sunshine state! Beautiful…Justin’s sister and brother in law took us in and showed us around. We saw some national parks, Photobucketwent to Red Rocks, Photobucketand saw a Rockies/Red Sox game. Photobucket

We also drank a lot of wine, stayed up too late, and spoke too loudly of old war stories…which led to a minor altercation with the law….but I don’t have any pictures of that.

After we got kicked out of Denver we hit the road again. Let me give you the highlights of what there is to see between Denver and Las Vegas:

It’s basically a lot of rock and no gas stations. With about half a tank to go I knew there weren’t going to be many stops before the next town, so we decided to pull off at the next gas exit…which happened to be about an hour down the road and 25 miles off the highway. Instead of taking the sure thing and getting gas, mind you at this point we were officially on empty, we decided to try and make it to the next town. For the next 40 miles, nobody said another word that I am able to report here, and I promised I wouldn’t tell, but Jad, Justin and I actually held hands while we coasted down the back side of the Rocky Mountains. Truth be told, I was half hoping we would run out of gas for the greater good of a better blog. But you can’t have everything.

After the gas fill up and a quick prayer nothing could hold us back.

I would post pictures from our next stop, but as they say, “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.” …that and Justin has them on his camera. I guess you really only need to know two things about it though: 1. Matt Woodward is an unbelievable host and 2. I wish my pool had the same rules as his…

It was the trip of a lifetime and I had a blast. Thanks forever to Jad and Justin for being a part of it all with me, I really can’t put into words how much fun I had with you guys. I’ll try to put on some more pictures from the trip over the next few days as they get emailed to me. Now it’s back to reality, and time for a new start in sunny SoCal with my lovely, and obviously forgiving girlfriend, Kara. PEACE!
